About the Anzisha Scenario

The Anzisha Scenario is a campaign by the Anzisha Prize in which we imagine a future where, in response to the challenge of youth unemployment, young Africans of high potential choose entrepreneurship as a career.

Which of these three scenarios will transform Africa?

Scenario One: The Status Quo – Continuing on the current trajectory without major interventions. This includes focusing on the mainstream economy and incumbent businesses/ government to provide jobs.

Scenario Two: Leveraging Entrepreneurship Experience – Investment in entrepreneurs of all ages, with a focus on older entrepreneurs, including those who are already active.

Scenario Three: The Anzisha Scenario – Investment in entrepreneurs of all ages with a focus on Very Young Entrepreneurs, which includes providing them with the skills and knowledge to start their own ventures.

The third scenario appears the most attractive. However, maybe a fourth scenario could be a combination of the three but with more emphasis on the third. We can't lose sigh of the experience of already established Entrepreneurs, as well as the lack of experience of the very young Entrepreneurs.

Scenario three will be ideal looking at the African experience. Investing in youth is investing in the future. empowering very young entrepreneurs through Azinsha, is enabling job creation through entrepreneurship, where the first scenario has failed and he second is predacious as it supports the first to ensure entrepreneurial monopoly hence controled entrepreneurship and job creativity.
